Barrier Systems Inc. manufactures and markets Quickchange Moveable Barrier (QMB)
In 1985 Barrier Systems, Inc. (BSI) introduces the Quickchange Moveable Barrier (QMB), the low cost solution for adding lanes during rush hour traffic to reduce congestion, improve safety and increase traffic throughput. The company, headquartered in Rio Vista, California, also produces crash cushions and specialty barriers to improve motorist and highway worker safety.

QMB Barrier runs the operation in Quebec and Ontario
QMB Barrier is founded in 1994. Operating mainly in Quebec and Ontario, the service company specializes in road traffic management. Since 1994, QMB Barrier has been marketing and operating BSI movable barriers to optimize roadways and provide maximum security for travelers and construction workers. QMB Barrier also markets BSI crash cushions and specialty barriers.

Versilis innovates throughout North America
In 2006, QMB Barrier set up Versilis in order to develop new solutions to maximize road safety while minimizing impact on traffic flow. The company’s first innovation, a remote-control traffic control system, named SwiftGateTM, was produced in 2002, and the latest version (which has obtained U.S. Highway Federal Highway Administration approval) is currently fully operational in Montreal. Versilis expects to continue the momentum begun by this innovation through its research and development activities.
